Draw procedure

All the clubs are seeded according to their coefficient and split into four groups. All clubs within the groups are ordered randomly and identified by a number.
The draw will be made in two batches: Groups 1 & 2 and Groups 3 & 4.
For each batch, two bowls will be prepared. The first will contain the balls with slips of paper numbered for the seeded teams and the other containing the balls with slips of paper numbered for the unseeded teams.
A ball will be taken from each bowl and placed into an empty bowl in the middle, where they will be shuffled. One of the two balls is drawn at random, then opened to display the number it contains, denoting the side playing at home in the first leg. The second ball is drawn to complete the pairing. The result of this draw applies for both groups in the batch.
The same procedure is carried out with the remaining balls to complete all the pairings.
What next?
Ties are played on 18 and 25 August with the 22 winners going into the group stage draw in Monaco on 26 August along with 16 automatic entrants and the ten teams defeated in the UEFA Champions League play-offs.

The groups have been made.

We'll be playing one of these teams:

Qarabag (Azerbaijan)
Slavia Prague
Brondby
Grasshoppers Zurich
Astra Giurgiu
Partisan Tirana.

Prague would be a brilliant away trip!

Yeah same Astra, wouldn't mind Bucharest again.

But praying for Prague, imagine our turnout there!

Prague and Zurich are a massive piece of me. Just so long as we're at home first leg.

Re: Today's draw
I am not able to go anywhere far so looking for a hopefully easier team to beat though we should be able to take them all.

Showing the Romanian a real West Ham team might be nice.

Re: Today's draw
That's not a bad group to be drawn from.

There were some tough seeded teams in there.

Assuming Sparta Prague is the toughest of the group, that's not bad going but shouldn't under-estimate them.

Sparta Prague and Slavia Prague are 2 different teams. Slavia aren't as good.

Re: Today's draw
Scrap that can see we can't.

ironsofcanada 11:02 Fri Aug 5
Re: Today's draw
We got sort of close to not being seeded because of some Champions League results but we did avoid some the better Champions League losers.

Think with having some players back and Premier League game under our belt we should be able to take any of those teams.

Re: Today's draw
Slavia are based in a great part of Prague, some cracking pubs out of the main part of the city, and you can have a beer up the top of the old communist tv tower up the road.

Appreciate not drawn them yet but what Prague team play near the airport. I recall a stadium close to the airport on last trip there.
